Dear Friend of The Poetry Project,

We’ve put together a remarkable Fall season of performances that will commence with “Song for Bernadette,” a benefit for poet Bernadette Mayer on Monday, September 16 at 8pm – now we just need YOU.

If you’re not a card-carrying member of The Poetry Project, now is the ideal time to join: First time members who join The Poetry Project this September as Individual-level Members ($50) will receive a free upgrade to a Supporting-level Membership ($95) – which translates to free admission to all general readings for one year! Returning members, check out our variety of membership levels and benefits here to chose the one that’s right for you.

Since 1966 we’ve worked hard to make The Poetry Project a site of artistic encouragement and opportunity for readers, writers, and listeners alike. Allen Ginsberg felt that attending readings at the Project “…was part of my education, part of my resources. Networking in that open community was intricately involved with private and public life.”

Whatever your motivation for returning to the Parish Hall time after time, when you support the Project, you support a vital space for the avant-garde spirit of poetry into the future.

Very Best,

Stacy Szymaszek
Director of The Poetry Project
