Brenda Coultas & Eleni Sikelianos

Brenda Coultas is the author of The Tatters, a collection of poetry, newly published by Wesleyan University Press this year. She is a contributing fiction editor for Black and Grey magazine. Eleni Sikelianos is the author of a hybrid memoir The Book of Jon, (City Lights, 2004) and seven books of poetry, most recently, The Loving Detail of the Living & the Dead (Coffee House, 2013).  Forthcoming in 2014 is another essay/poetry/scrapbook/memoir, You Animal Machine (The Golden Greek).  Sikelianos has been the happy recipient of various awards for her poetry, nonfiction, and translations, and her work has been translated into over a dozen languages.  She has taught poetry in public schools, homeless shelters, and prisons, and collaborated with musicians (Philip Glass, Sandra Wong, etc.), filmmakers (Ed Bowes), and visual artists (Peter Cole, Mel Chin, etc.). She is on guest faculty for the Naropa Summer Writing Program, and for L’Ecole de Littérature in France and Morocco; she also teaches at the University of Denver, where she runs the Writers in the Schools program.
