FULL — Friendship, Technique, and Experimental Prose — Workshop with Eugene Lim

The poet’s novel, avant-garde fiction, innovative prose. What makes prose traditional? Why defy or subvert or ignore tradition? Why go against the grain? Through prompts and exercises we’ll explore and test each other’s answers to these questions. We will also have short readings from writers such as William Carlos Williams, Renee Gladman, César Aira, Georges Perec, and Tan Lin. In addition, as the writing life is often isolating, we’ll try to build friendships through a mutual interest in experimental literature and goofy writing games.

This workshop is now full. To be added to the waitlist, email Laura at lh@poetryproject.org
